PMPTSP Agency Wins ICSB Indonesia Presidential Award 2020

Jakarta Capital Investment One-stop Integrated Service Agency (DPMPTSP) has received an award from the International Council for Small Business (ICSB) Indonesia.

Jakarta PMPTSP Agency Head Benni Aguscandra said the award was for the Government Pillar category as a Regional Apparatus that had a major contribution to the development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) in Jakarta area.

"Alhamdulillah we have achieved another achievement by winning the ICSB Indonesia Presidential Award 2020 for real performance contribution to the progress of UMKM in Jakarta before and amid the pandemic," he told, Wednesday (9/23).

He said that the award was part of a series of events for the Jakarta Marketing Week 2020. It was officially given virtually by ICSB Indonesia President Jacky Mussry and received by PMPTSP Agency Vice Agency Denny Wahyu Haryanto.

He continued that this achievement was a clear proof of the agency's efforts in encouraging the UMKM business in Jakarta, particularly the ease of business licensing, which had a positive impact on business actors and was appreciated by the public.

"This is also our motivation and enthusiasm to improve services to the community, as well as to continue to ensure the ease of licensing for business actors through various service innovations that we present," he said.

He explained, amid the pandemic, the city administration had done a stimulus in order to recover the UMKM business. One of the efforts was to carry out collaboration in the field of UMKM which involved several regional working units (SKPD) up to sub-district and urban village heads.

As for the PMPTSP Agency played a role in providing relaxation for Micro and Small Business Permit (IUMK) during the economic recovery period in the form of direct visits to business locations and simplification of IUMK licensing service procedures and acceleration of permit issuance.

"In that time, we run a relaxation program for IUMK licensing by utilizing the innovation of AJIB services that visit UMK locations in accordance with data on UMK actors and/or Jakpreneur participants," he expressed.

He added AJIB officers provided assistance in submitting IUMK from the application until the permit was issued. the applicant only needed to show their ID card and then officers would take a photo of the applicant and their place of business. Afterwards they would input the application data in the IUMK licensing system.

"The PMPTSP Management Unit Head will conduct administrative and technical research on IUMK licensing and then approve or reject the IUMK application. The average permit output will come out in a matter of hours or a maximum of one working day," he stated.
